Brief Abstract

This session will explore the strategies adopted by online and blended learning leaders and innovators to deliver inclusive, flexible and scalable online work-based learning opportunities that are embedded into the curriculum. Hosted by work-based learning provider, Riipen, along with Bay Path University, Georgetown University and Calbright College, the session will also highlight the impact of this industry collaboration on meeting diverse students' needs and achieving employment outcomes to align with employer needs and the changing workforce.

Warner, Georgetown University, Senior Director, Professional Development & Certificates, and Katrieva Munroe, Calbright College, Dean of Learning Innovation. This session will be moderated by Jane Oates, WorkingNation, president.

Presenters

Jeremy is the Deputy Chief of Academic and Administrative Technology at The American Women's College at Bay Path University. In this role, he provides leadership of course design, faculty development and training, user support, data and analytics, and institutional research in the furtherance of innovations that contain the price of education and scale positive educational outcomes. Jeremy's career has been devoted to improving access to high quality education in positions in technology management, instructional design and technology, and public education. He earned his BS in history and social science education from Central Connecticut State University and his MS in educational technology from Eastern Connecticut State University. Currently, Jeremy is a doctoral candidate in interdisciplinary leadership at Creighton University.

Extended Abstract

This dynamic session is designed to foster learning and conversation so that attendees will leave the session with new ideas, proven strategies and practical tips and resources to support testing and implementing innovative models to foster industry collaboration. Hosted by Riipen, the world’s learning work-based learning marketplace, and featuring diverse panellists from Bay Path University, Georgetown University and Calbright College, this session will support attendees in exploring and analyzing successful cases of educators and innovators embedding work-based learning to support student skills development, engagement and employability. Each case will be kicked off with an open discussion on existing or emerging barriers for a specific learner population.

After presenting the case studies, the audience will be invited to share their experiences with tackling the same issue and their challenges and successes.
